What we save

Compare selections and your discovery shortlist stay in this browser. Pantries are private to the signed-in account. Published reviews show your chosen display name, rating and note, not your email. You can remove your pantry entries and your own reviews in the site.

Community profiles, sightings and photos

Your chosen nickname, earned badges, selected title, level and contribution counts are public. Restaurant sightings, dates, city, notes, discussion comments and corroboration counts are community reports, not restaurant endorsements. Do not disclose your home, another person’s whereabouts or private information.

Photos you submit stay visible only to you and the owner until moderation. Images are resized, checked and stripped of metadata. Accepted photos are public. You can remove your own photos and contributions; removed text and private reward records may remain in restricted storage for abuse prevention and reward consistency. Removed photos stop being served and their stored files are scheduled for immediate deletion. Reports are private to the site owner; rewards are reversed when source contributions are removed or hidden.

Simple, aggregate usage counts

We count page views and selected actions by UTC day to improve the site: searches (including searches with no results), comparisons, pantry saves, review submissions and merchant-link clicks. These are event counts, not unique visitors, purchases or verified conversions. Automated or repeated events may affect totals.

Our analytics table stores only day, event name and count on a rolling 90-day window (older counts are removed when the next event arrives). It does not store account IDs, IP addresses, search text, full URLs, referrers, cookies or a visitor identifier. We do not track you across sites. The hosting and sign-in platform separately processes requests under its own policies.

We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. You can also turn these counts off for this browser. This preference is stored locally.

Aggregate usage counts are on in this browser, unless blocked by your privacy signal.

Maker and retailer links lead to other websites with their own privacy practices. There are no ads, affiliate tracking or paid placements enabled here. Avoid personal or sensitive information in public tasting notes. Reviews should reflect your own experience; disclose samples and brand relationships. Do not post spam, harassment or private information.
